HBHE has just completed a search for a new faculty hire in
Global Health. A note about the new hire, Dr. Elizabeth King, from Chair of the
2013-14 Faculty Search Committee, Dr. Brian Zikmund-Fisher is below:
HBHE Alumna,
As Chair of the
2013-14 Faculty Search Committee, I am extremely pleased to announce that the
search for an HBHE Assistant Professor in Global Public Health has now
culminated. Dr. Elizabeth King has officially accepted our offer to join the
HBHE faculty as of September 2014.
We are very excited to have Dr. King join us from her current
position at the Center for Interdisciplinary Research on AIDS at Yale
University. She has a Ph.D. (2010) in Health Behavior & Health Education
from University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill and a M.P.H. (2005) in Global
Health from Yale University. Her research has focused on gender, HIV and
STI-related issues, especially in Eastern Europe. Over the next few
years, Dr. King will expand both our teaching and our research capabilities in
Global Public Health and qualitative research methods.
Brian J. Zikmund-Fisher
Chair, HBHE Faculty Search Committee 2013-2014
